Ormeggio at the Spit
Two-hatted Italian on Middle Harbour at The Spit
Ormeggio has been on the water at d'Albora Marina, The Spit, since 2009, looking across Middle Harbour towards Pearl Bay. It is the more considered of the two SRG rooms on this jetty.
The cooking is Italian and seafood-led: pasta made in the kitchen, modern technique used to sharpen a classic. Since it opened it has held two Chefs Hats, without a break, in the Good Food Guide published by the Sydney Morning Herald.
The room is refined but not stiff, and the water is close enough that the light changes the meal as it goes.
Lunch and dinner both run Wednesday to Sunday — 11.30 to 3, then 5.30 to 10.
Italian · Seafood · Handmade pasta
